After COTA closes to the public, the nearest option we have verified is Harris Hill Raceway in San Marcos. Dates and prices change, so check the operator's calendar.

Circuit of the Americas (Austin)

3.40-mile, 20-turn F1 circuit. Public supercar drives: Xtreme Xperience Nov 18–20, 2026 and Longhorn Racing Academy Nov 27, 2026, both listed as final COTA dates. See the COTA comparison.

Harris Hill Raceway (San Marcos)

Longhorn Racing Academy's home track, an 11-turn course. Its FAQ says a Harris Hill ticket includes 3 laps, about 5 miles. Check Longhorn's site for current Harris Hill dates.

Choosing an experience

  • Laps vs. price: compare cost per lap, not just total (see our COTA table)
  • Track type: a road course with real corners is more engaging than an oval
  • Instructor policy: one-on-one in-car coaching is the standard
  • Damage protection: Xtreme sells a required plan from $39 with a $6,000 deductible; Longhorn includes insurance with a $1,000 deductible (both pages, Oct 28, 2026)
  • Video: in-car video is often an add-on worth buying
