Both pages opened Oct 28, 2026: thextremexperience.com/tracks/cota, longhornracingacademy.com/cars-circuit-of-the-americas. So Xtreme's "last chance" is not the last chance: by its own page, Longhorn runs a week after Xtreme's last day.
The mandatory protection plan (Xtreme Xperience)
Xtreme's base price does not include a driver protection plan, which its FAQ calls mandatory for drives (not for ride-alongs). Options on its page:

Longhorn says every experience "includes race track insurance with a $1000 deductible" and that spinning or leaving the track carries that deductible. Its FAQ says unsafe driving forfeits the drive without refund.
Cost per lap
Xtreme Xperience, "starting at" price plus the cheapest ($39) plan. Xtreme's page contradicts itself on laps: its FAQ and track stats say 2 laps, but its "what's included" list and the "How many laps" answer say 3–4. We show all three so you can check the lap count before paying.

All prices are "starting at" figures that the operators say vary by date and time. Xtreme's header says experiences start at $559 while its FAQ lists a $539 Nissan GT-R; we use the FAQ list. Not included in any table: photo or video packages, extra guests (Longhorn: $49 per guest over two) and Longhorn's $99 rescheduling fee. Calculated by us from the quoted prices, Oct 28, 2026.
What the operators say you get
- Xtreme: 25-minute briefing, instructor riding with you, helmet, pit area with shade, plan 1.5–2 hours at the track.
- Longhorn: 25-minute classroom (its FAQ; its car page says 20), in-car instruction, helmet, about 90 minutes total with about 15 minutes of high-speed driving. Drivers 18+. Each driver can bring up to 2 guests free.
The track
Circuit of the Americas is a 3.40-mile, 20-turn road course with 140 feet of elevation change, per Xtreme's page. Xtreme says it is the only FIA Grade 1 circuit in the U.S.

Xtreme Xperience and Longhorn Racing Academy each show only their own prices and neither shows cost per lap. The Texas Insider wrote about Xtreme alone, in April. This page puts both operators' dates, protection costs and per-lap prices side by side.
